Book Review: Money Saving Mom's Budget

Recently, Crystal Paine sent me a pre-release copy of her NEW book, The Money Saving Mom's Budget to review. I was so excited to be selected to review her new book! In addition, she is going to give me a few copies to give away to you guys in the next few days (don't worry, I'll be sure to let you know exactly when and how you can enter!).

First, let me say that the book is a well thought out presentation of how to budget, set goals, coupon and generally save money. I loved it!

I'm a busy mom of 3 who homeschools, runs to practices and preschool, cooks all our meals at home and well... does everything else around here (laundry, dishes, cleaning.. you know the drill!). I was able to read this book a few minutes at a time and found myself eager to read-on. This book is something even the busiest person can fit into their schedule!

The book covers all aspects of saving money from budgeting, goal setting, couponing to shopping without coupons. I am an experienced couponer and I had great takeaways from this book. I have a new found sense of direction and purpose. Budgeting is something I have gotten away from in the recent months and am eager to jump back into. Also, she says some great things about goal setting which really hit home for me. One part I really liked was her section on specific directions for setting short and long term financial goals. Again, this is something that has been on my back burner. You know, life has been whizzing by and I am just plugging along everyday...and another year has past! The timing of her book is perfect! New year... new purpose and direction!

If you are a new couponer, this book is a MUST READ! I wish I had read this book years ago when I was just starting out, it sure would have saved me a bunch of trial and error! If you are still figuring out how to organize your coupons, where to find them, and what to do with them you will find the answers in The Money Saving Mom's Budget!

In addition, she goes into detail about how to shop your local stores without coupons. Which is great information to have because let's face it, we all end up at the store at some point without our coupons!

I hope you consider reading The Money Saving Mom's Budget. It's currently for sale on Amazon for $8.40 (on sale from $14!).  Crystal has graciously offered to host a giveaway for several copies of the book. Stay tuned for the details!
